A friend of mine from US is coming home but won't be staying long so she told me since we shall only be meeting and spending a few hours together over the weekend, to buy her a few things and she will pay me when we see each other. One of the things on her list is Pastel de Pots.
Actually, I learned about Pastel de Pots last month, upon meeting with Chef Ed, the man behind Pots and Pans in Cagayan de Oro City. He is actually one of the celebrity Chefs in the Philippines and proudly, he is a Kagay-anon. But I did not expect that Pastel de Pots, being new in the market, already has developed a following.. Well, why not? It is a good Pastel, not so sweet, and the bun remains fresh even after a few days. I bought a box which only cost me P 120 and 12 huge buns popped from the sturdy box.. No wonder Eliza wants them.. Durable box for long travels, delicious food inside it--
Anyway, to give you an idea of how they would look, here's a piece that I ate previously..
Best served with hot coffee or hot choco.. So yummy!
